After the previous furniture designs and fabrications for the main living room in the apartment, a coffee table becomes an addition. As four structural columns define the living area, the idea is simple: What if the new coffee table is the fifth column in the space? Can the design expose the construction detail and material of the existing column, enhancing the space's overall aesthetic? This design concept aims to add a functional element to the living room and create a unique visual appeal.

As the initial ideas develop into the functional coffee table along with details and fabrication methods, the architectural drawing acts as a decision-making tool throughout the design process. It provides ideas in multiple layers and scales, resulting in the most appropriate design, including unexpected yet creative ones for future projects.
